Popular tourist destinations including Kruger National Park, Garden Route, Cape Winelands and Table Mountain maintain reliable connectivity.   However, very remote rural areas and deep wilderness sections of national parks may have limited coverage. 

Yes, you can use your eSIM on safari trips. Larger plans like our 10GB plan provide enough data to keep connected for extended periods – however you should keep in mind that remote wilderness areas are likely to have little to no signal. 

Absolutely – the scenic coastal drive from Cape Town through Mossel Bay, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay to Port Elizabeth typically has excellent 4G coverage throughout. Popular stops including Hermanus, Wilderness Tsitsikamma and Addo Elephant Park also have reliable connectivity. However, please note that some areas might face a drop in network.

Major South African cities like Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Pretoria, usually have 4G speeds of 10–40 Mbps, with 5G available in select urban areas offering 50–150 Mbps.  Tourist areas and coastal towns typically have 5–20 Mbps. Rural areas and remote national park sections may have slower speeds or limited coverage.
